Age Limit
  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for UG Engineering admission (UGEA) 2023. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
  • Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling / admission, failing for which they will be disqualified.

Candidates applying for the UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2023, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:


  • The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.
  • Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes. Applicants should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.
  • They should also provide the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Total (including all subjects) and upload the scanned copy of the mark list and other relevant documents whenever available on the application form.
  • For Indian nationals/ NRI/ PIO card holder, appearance in VITEEE-23 is mandatory to be eligible for B. Tech. admission under regular mode (Applicants under International/NRI quota exempted) . In case VITEEE gets cancelled due to natural calamities, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks or JEE-23 or a valid SAT. Applicants will be informed with specifics in such case.

  • Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
  • Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have passed with minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) for the following categories:
    • Candidates belonging to SC/ST
    • Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
    Subject Eligibility:
    • Candidates having studied Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry in +2 / Higher Secondary Board are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes
    • Candidates having studied Biology/Physics/Chemistry in +2/ Higher Secondary Board are eligible for the following Bio stream programmes only. Upon joining, the students need to mandatorily register for a bridge course in Mathematics
    • B.Tech. Bio-engineering(VIT-Bhopal)
      B.Tech. Biotechnology(VIT, Vellore)
      B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Bioinformatics(VIT, Vellore)

  • Selection is based on the rank secured through CBT (Computer Based Test).
  • Selected candidates will be called for online counselling based on their ranking.
  • Eligible Candidates may select specific campus and programme during the Counselling.
  • After payment of full fees classes will be conducted online / reporting in person to the Institution.
  • Candidates are expected to prove their genuineness on joining.

Integrated M.Tech CSE in Collaboration with Virtusa

 

To promote PG Integrated M.Tech. ( 5 Years ) Programmes. VIT-AP has long since been devoted to providing quality education in various disciplines of Engineering, Science and Technology and has proliferated into frontiers of Research as well.

  • There is NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
  • Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply
  • Candidate should be Resident Indian National
  • The Admission will be on the basis of the performance in the qualifying examination (+2)
 

  • A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
  • Age Limit :Date of Birth falls on or after 01.07.2003
  • For Integrated M.Tech. Programmes The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 55% in PCM for the following categories: ​
    • The Qualifying Marks is relaxed by 10% i.e. 55% in PCM for applicants belong to SC/ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura.
    • Applicants belonging to SC/ST category should submit community certificate
    • Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. They should submit Nativity Certificate
      Applicants from NIOS / Correspondence mode are not eligible

  • Applications are processed in the order of merit, based on the aggregate of marks (rounded to 2 decimal points) secured in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the +2 / Higher Secondary & Intermediate Examination.
  • In case the Normalized marks are same, the order of merit will be decided based on the best scores in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry sequentially, also based on total obtained scores in all subjects.
  • Short listed applicants list will be published on 17.06.2023 after that, applicants can give their campus and program preferences from 17.06.2023 to 20.06.2023 (i.e., applicants can give “n” number of choices)
  • Seat will be allotted based on Rank, Preference of Campus, Programme (Subject to availability).
  • Once Allotment is done on 26.06.2023 (Campus, Programmes), it cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  • Selected applicants will receive their Provisional Admission Letter to pay their Advance Tuition Fees (Rs.50,000/-) through online mode on or before 30.06.2023.
  • Applicants can pay their Balance Tuition Fees through online mode on or before 07.07.2023

M.Tech – VLSI Design (2 years programme)

 

In the post-graduation programme M.Tech VLSI Design, students are allowed to pursue the course from schools of Electronics Engineering, VIT-AP. The post-graduates of VLSI Design will demonstrate their outstanding education skills that will enable them to integrate undergraduate fundamentals with the knowledge acquired to evaluate and analyse new developments in VLSI industry. The entry into these programmes occurs by successfully getting through the VITMEE examination conducted every year.

  • ✥ Short-listed Candidates will be asked to choose the preference of campus and branch. Selected candidates will have to pay an advance payment of Rs. 1 lakh.

Dual Degree Programme- B.Sc.-M.Sc. Data Science in Collaboration with Binghamton University, USA & QpiAI, India Pvt. Ltd. (With Exit Option B.Sc. Data Science)

 

Data Science is an interdisciplinary subject that includes the use of Mathematics, Statistics, computer science and related aspects in order to understand the problem or phenomena with respect to a set of real-world data.

M.Sc. Data Science in Collaboration with Binghamton University, USA & QpiAI, India Pvt. Ltd.

 

The two years M.Sc. Data Science degree programme helps students gain strong methodological foundations in analytical statistics, handle statistical consultations and learn the various techniques, skills, and use of tools.

 
  • Duration of the Programme: 2yr
  • Academic Year 2023-24

  • (a) Candidates will be called for the counselling in the order of merit of their aggregate marks secured in their undergraduate degree programmes calculated upto pre-final semester. This is inclusive of Languages / EOP and all the subjects they have studied upto pre-final semester.

1. What is a dual degree programme?
Dual degree programme is a combination of two separate degree programmes, one for the
undergraduate and the other for post graduate.

2. What is Dual Degree [BA- Public Services], [MA – Public Services]?
The programme is designed to help students to prepare for UPSC examinations during the
period of their graduation and post graduation along with a degree in the subject.

3. Is it possible to become an IAS officer while studying for BA Public-Services?
No, because the age to take the UPSC exams is 21 as on date for the call for exams.

4. Is it compulsory that one should do MA Public Services also?
No. After completion of BA, if you want you can exit the programme.

5. What is the duration of the programme?
The duration of the course is 5 years, but there is an exit option after successful
completion of 3 years with BA- Public Services degree.

6. How many semesters should one study to appear for UPSC exams?
You can appear for the UPSC exams either after the successful completion of BA [6
semesters] or MA [10 semesters].UPSC exams can be attempted at the age of 21.

The Ph.D. programme at VIT-AP admits bright students to carry out research in engineering, basic sciences, humanities and management disciplines. The major areas of research are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Management – HR, Marketing, Economics, English etc.

 

  • Internal Full Time:
