Dr. Jeyavelu has a vast experience in teaching Organizational Design & Theory, Creativity, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, etc to students and executives. He has been teaching regularly in the PGP/MBA, ePGP/executive MBA, FPM / PhD courses as well as Management Development Programs in IIM Kozhikode from 2004. His creativity workshops were the highest revenue generating in IIMK. Discovering Self, an elective course integrating expressive arts, theatre and small group process work was the second most sought after course in IIMK.
He has also taught in IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Amritsar, IIM Indore as well as GIM, GLIM, LIBA, XIMB and many others. He is fellow of Sumedhas Academy of Human Context, where he served as Dean of OD for a three year term and continues to contribute as faculty in its programs. He is a certified coach in Existential Universe Mapper (EUM) and Transformative Alignment Mapper (TAM). He integrates his expertise in diverse fields such as Organizational Behavior, Case Teaching, Process Work, and Theatre and Expressice Arts. He spreads his time across teaching, coaching, process consulting, leadership development and startup mentoring.
He is a Fellow of IIM Ahmedabad with specialisation in Organizational Behavior and has a BE in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy.

Dr. Indira J. Parikh

Former Dean of IIM Ahmedabad; Founder President FLAME University

Prof. Parikh is a world renowned academician, consultant, coach, institution builder and most importantly a wonderful human being. She was a faculty member of IIM Ahmedabad in the area of organizational behaviour for more than thirty years. She was the first female Dean of IIM Ahmedabad. She was instrumental in setting up and building many institutions. She is one of the founders of Sumedhas Academy for Human Context, an institution fostering self-reflexivity. She pioneered the increasing interest in Liberal Arts education as the founding President of FLAME University, Pune. She has been conferred with numerous national and international awards. She was and is a member of academic council of many IITs and other top universities and board member of IIMs and public and private sector organizations. She has been a consultant and advisor to organizations across all industries in India and abroad, state and central government committees as well as global institutions such as UN.

She is actively involved in the curriculum design, faculty development and culture building at VSB.

Dr. Raju Balakrishnan

Dean, College of Business

University of Michigan, Dearborn, MI, USA

Prof Balakrishnan serves as Dean of the College of Business (COB) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He earned his Ph.D. in Management from Purdue University, M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and a B.E. with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras in India.

Prof Balakrishnan has taken COB to new heights with new partnerships with universities in China, India, Jordan, and Taiwan, introduced several new inter-disciplinary programs with other colleges on campus and started offering non-degree programs for working professionals. He is lead author of the textbook Managerial Decision Modeling with Spreadsheets (Pearson) and has published extensively in leading academic journals. He has been recognized multiple times for teaching excellence at both Clemson and Tulane, and has received several research awards including best paper awards from the Decision Sciences Institute and the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Prof Balakrishana is instrumental in bringing together our two universities for the twin degree programs.

Dr. Kulbhushan Balooni

Prof Balooni is an expert on environment management and governance. He undertakes interdisciplinary research on environment, resources, development policy and sustainability in the developing countries context, especially those in South and Southeast Asia. Within this broad area, he has been focusing on conservation, corporate social responsibility, and decentralization and local governance.

Currently he is the Director-in-Charge of IIM Kozhikode and a Professor in the area of Economics. He also holds the additional responsibility of Mentor Director of IIM Amritsar. He has a PhD in Economics from Indian Institute of Rural Management (IRMA). An accomplished researcher, he has won many national and international and is invited regularly to international universities.

Dr. Arun Elias

Prof. Arun is the Associate Dean, International and Accreditation. His main research interests are in the areas of stakeholder management, systems thinking and modelling, environmental conflict management, operations management and agri-systems management. He has a PhD in Management from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and two Masters degrees, in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and in Agricultural Engineering from Allahabad University, India. Recognised for his management insights and execution capabilities, Prof Arun brings decades of academic administrative experience in accreditation, faculty development and international relations.

Dr. Ashok Som

Associate Dean of Global MBA Program

Prof Som is Associate Dean of Global MBA Program at ESSEC Business School, Paris-Singapore. He is the founder of the India Research Centre at ESSEC, Director of the Global Management Programs on Luxury and Retail Management (in partnership with Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad) and co-ordinator of the module Managing International Business. He is a Fellow of IIM Ahmedabad and an alumnus of IIT Karagpur. Ashok’s three main research areas are in organization re-design, innovative HRM, innovation in Asia and Luxury brands. He has published widely and won many case research awards. He is the author of the book Organization-Redesign and Innovative HRM, Oxford University Press (2008), International Management: Managing the Global Corporation, McGraw Hill, UK (2009) and The Road to Luxury: The Evolution, Markets, and Strategies of Luxury Brand Management, John Wiley & Sons (2015).

Ashok’s current research interests lie in the role of strategy in shaping human resource practices in turbulent environment, creation and evolution of organizational capabilities and performance specifically during organizational design (restructuring/re-engineering), HR innovation, governance and adoption of Strategic Human Resource Management Practices in organizations. He is currently studying the Luxury Industry, the global Movie Industry and the Art Industry. He has been involved with large corporations such as Caisses d’Epargne, Lafarge, LVMH, LOreal, Canal+, Renault, Vodafone, Philips, Faurecia, France Telecom on topics related to International Strategy, Organization Design, International HR, Post-Merger Integration and Cross-cultural management issues.
