Project:Home Hydroponic Farming
Guide: Prof. Ambhuj Sharma
Our project focusses upon bringing the concept of industrial hydroponic farming to the domestic households and available to all. The temperature, water and UV light control modules make it extremely easy for a layman to maintain “the soilless crops”. The main objective of our project is minimum resources maximum output. Farming has been made easier when everything is controlled through an app completely developed by us. The live data collected from the sensors is uploaded on firebase which in turn sends the data to the app for displaying.

Project: Power Theft Detection System
Guide: DR. Umakanta Nanda
Power theft detection system aims to detect electrical power thefts. Electricity is very imperative and crucial for everyday life and acts as the spine for the industries, and its theft is a huge loss to every country. Current transformers (sensors) give us the reading and whenever the readings don’t add up, we sense that there is a theft happening. We use a GPS tracker, and a GSM module in order to alert the respective authorities as soon as possible. An SMS alert is sent to a predetermined phone number with the region’s coordinates. Additionally, there is an option to cut off power in that region, if there are frequent thefts, through an IOT connected app. The whole backend works on Google’s Firebase cloud platform.

Project: Med!c_Plus()[ Pi powered Braille converter]
Guide: Dr. Asish Kumar Dalai
Our project is a device which can be used for communicating with people who suffer from both hearing and ocular (eye related) disability. Any String (sentence) fed into the device gets converted to its Braille counter-part by the use of servo motors arranged in a 3 by 2 combination to represent Braille characters. Raised servo motor flaps indicate the raised dots of the Braille language. This leads to on the spot conversion of normal speech to Braille.

Project: Control Your Computer With Handgestures Using Arduino
Guide: Dr. K. Mallikharjuna Rao
Hand gesture is an innovative technique of interaction between human and computer. As compared to existing techniques, hand gesture technique has the advantage of being easy to use. By using this technique the traditional way of using mouse and keyboard will be change because one can then interact with the computer with hand gestures. In this technique, ultrasonic sensor is used to classify the hand movement in real-time. Ultrasonic sensor measures the distance of hand by using sound waves. The main idea of our approach is to speed up the interaction with computer, using general purpose hardware like personal computer, Arduino UNO board and low cost sensor like ultrasonic sensor. In this way any user can easily interact with the computer using hand gestures.
