About University

 

The purpose of this faculty development program is to provide information and knowledge on recent research advances and scopes in diverse fields of chemistry research. Eminent dignitaries from various prestigious organizations such as IITs, TIFR, and renowned industries (national and international) will deliver lectures and demonstrated some practical aspects of multiple commonly used instruments and software. Demonstration of analytical techniques including NMR, Powder XRD, single crystal XRD, molecular modeling, docking studies are some key points participants will be listening on. Discussion to explore and identify common avenues of interaction between academia and industry will also take place.

1. To disseminate the knowledge of various new aspects of chemistry among faculty members

2. To discuss the current status of the new age technologies development and research advances on different branches of chemistry and their application.

About Chemistry Department:

 

Department of Chemistry offers M. Sc. Chemistry program at VIT-AP University. This programme provides ample opportunities for the students to choose courses from a broad spectrum of cutting-edge areas in addition to fundamentals of organic, inorganic, physical, analytical and computational chemistry.
