Fall Semester 2017-2018 Projects

Fall Semester Top 3 Projects

Project: Autonomous Humanoid Robot

Guide: Dr. Purna Chandra N

This project is based on open source Amazon Alexa. It is basically a humanoid with all human like resemblance and movements along with voice control feature. The prototype envisions modular artificial personal assistant, which can be modified to work under any situation like security guard, babysitter, smart home hub, etc. The humanoid interacts with the Amazon Alexa, a cloud based intelligent personal assistant and with the machine learning feature, the prototype gets smarter every day.

Project: Arduino Controlled Robot

Guide: Dr. Kalyan Chakravarthy

Production rate of the country is directly proportional to its GDP & manual labour, no matter how long the work hours are. Not to mention factors such as population of India and low technology level binds us to use manual labour. In response to this problem we decided to make our project an autonomous Arduino controlled robotic arm. It is made to pick up multiple materials like coffee cups to unused particles, it picks up almost everything. Since it’s an automated machine, it never tires out and can perform predefined functions over and over again. This will reduce requirement of manual labour and hence contribute to the overall rate of production.

Project:Automated Intelligent Green House

Guide: Mr. Karthikeyan S

The main aim of this project is to minimize the human care needed for plants by automating the greenhouse and monitoring the in-house environment status. The project also aims at creating an automatic greenhouse controller that can monitor and control the temperature, humidity, light and soil moisture levels to user defined values. The controller would need some way for the readings to be displayed and for the user to update the settings. This greenhouse is designed and built with the aim of providing any specific need for the type of plant the user wants to grow.
