உலகின் பழமையான மொழியும் எல்லாம் மொழிகளுக்கும் தாய் மொழியான தமிழ் (The World’s Oldest and the Mother of all Languages is Tamil). முதல் மனிதன் பேசிய முதல் மொழி தமிழ் மொழி என்று பல நூல்கள் கூறுகின்றன (Ancient Literature tells us that Tamil was one of the oldest languages spoken by the human civilization). இத்தகைய பெருமையும் தொன்மையும் வாய்ந்த மொழி எங்கள் தமிழ் மொழியை மக்களாகிய உங்களிடம் கூறுவதர்காக நாங்கள் ஒன்று குடி அமைத்த கூழு இது (Semmozhi Tamil Mandram is a group gathered together to bring forward the culture and antiquity of Tamil Language).

Objectives

• ★ To promote Tamil Literature and the importance of Tamil Language among all students, teachers and staff at the university.
• ★ To organize and conduct programs based on Tamil Culture and Tamil Festivals (Pongal, Tamil New Year, etc.…).

Expected Outcomes

• ★ Students are intrigued to gain knowledge of Tamil Literature and its history.
• ★ To make sure everyone experiences the rich culture and heritage of Tamil nativity through events and various activities.
