Head, IT Services:

The Head of IT Services is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, operation, maintenance and performance monitoring of all IT related infrastructure inside the Campus, including computer labs and associate software. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems and infrastructure throughout the University.

Job Specifications:

• Post Graduate or Graduate in Computer Science Engineering
• Relevant Training Certification in Hardware & Networking (e.g.: CCNA/CCNA/CCIP/ MTA: Microsoft Technology Associate/MCITP, etc.)
• Should have 10 years of hands on experience in IT Infrastructure and hardware management
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a team and manage other team members
• Experience in managing Data Centre
• Knowledge and Experience in Cloud
• Knowledge in remote infrastructure monitoring and managing tools
• Experience in Design of Campus Infra
• Good communication and vendor management skills are desirable

Job Description:

• Installing, maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including associated software and hardware throughout the campus
• Should be highly customer centric and able to resolve issues on time
• Should perform disaster recovery and backups
• Protect data, software, and hardware by implementing necessary security measures
• Protect data and systems from virus/ hacking
• Monitor network and optimise its performance
• Identification of component requirements/ specification and work with vendors in procurement and installation
• Managing assets and stock
• Impart Training to team members and others from the University
• Regular reporting to University officials on IT Infrastructure and its performance
