Dr. N. Prabhakar currently serves as Assistant Professor Senior Grade 1 at VIT–AP School of Business (VSB) in VIT-AP University. He holds a doctorate in Management from Pondicherry University. He has 9 years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level and 7 years of research experience. His areas of research are digital financial inclusion, financial inclusion, financial well-being, and insurance. Prior to joining VIT-AP University, he worked as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Commerce at the School of Management, Pondicherry University.

He has published more than 25 research articles in refereed international journals, some of them which are listed in the ABDC Ranking and Scopus Indexed journals. He has presented 48 research papers in national and international conferences hosted by reputed institutions. In addition to his ongoing research, he serves as a reviewer for research papers in several refereed international journals.

Dr. Umer Mushtaq Lone is an Assistant Professor at VIT-AP School of Business (VSB), VIT-AP University, Amravati. He has done his BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and MFC (Master of Finance and Control) from the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and was awarded a university gold medal for securing first position at the master’s level. He also has an M.Com (Master in Commerce) and PGDIBOs (Post-Graduate Diploma in International Business Operations) from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University). He has done his internship in the Deposit Account Department (DAD) at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), New Delhi Zonal Office on the topic entitled “Payment and Settlement System Applications in India”. He has obtained his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in the area of Financial Economics from the Department of Management Studies, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, J&K for his research work entitled “Economic Forces and Stock Market Performance: Evidence from BRICS Economies”. He has qualified UGC-NET (Commerce) in 2012 and was awarded the UGC-MANF fellowship by the UGC to pursue his doctoral research. His teaching interests include accounting, finance, financial markets, and financial risk management. He has more than 6 years of teaching experience and has worked in various reputed institutions in his native state of Jammu and Kashmir, including the Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Pulwama; Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Hawal, Srinagar and the University of Kashmir, Srinagar. He has been the faculty adviser of the winning team (North Zone) from the University of Kashmir (North Campus, Delina, Baramulla) at the zonal round of the RBI Policy Challenge, 2023.

Dr. G. Somasekhar is currently working as an Associate Professor in VIT-AP School of Business, VIT-AP University. Previously He worked as an Associate Professor with SRM University, Chennai. He has more than 16 years of Academic experience. He completed his PhD from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and his area of expertise in Operations & Supply Chain Management, Retailing, Services Marketing, Consumer Behavior Marketing Research and Customer Analytics. Expertise in SPSS, E-Views, Data Analytics using Advanced Excel, and Tableau.

He pursued online courses on Supply Chain Analytics, Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing A to Z, and Descriptive, Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics. Dr. G. Somasekhar worked for Institutional research project titled EMPOWERING SOCIALLY CHALLENGED YOUTH OF RURAL INDIA THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP the Grant-in-aid sanctioned Rs. 1314000 by AICTE Grant in Aid under the Scheme Samriddhi for the academic year 2019-2022.

He has been an active researcher, with 16 publications in international journals, including those indexed in Scopus, web of science, and UGC listed. He published a book titled Emerging Trends of Retailing and presented research papers in IIMs. He presented twelve research papers in various international and national conferences. He is also serving as the reviewer for Indersceince publication and MIJBR Journal.

He conducted workshops on Entrepreneurship and Innovation for the benefit of student community. He associated with CMR University as a DC member and adjudicated two theses for Bharathiar University. He delivered guest lecturer on Network Analysis & Transportation methods, and Optimizing Decisions: An Application of OR models.

B. Tech. (Bachelor of Technology) in Computer Science and Engineering (Edge Computing ) is a program offered by the School of Computer Science & Engineering VIT-AP University, Amravati. Aiming to shape students to process of capturing, storing, processing and analyzing data closer to data sources such as IoT devices or local edge servers, where the data is generated using distributed and cloud computing.

1. Edge computing uses locally generated data to enable real-time responsiveness to create new experiences, while at the same time controlling sensitive data and reducing costs of data transmission to the cloud.

2. Edge computing allows devices in remote locations to process data at the “edge” of the network, either by the device or a local server. And when data needs to be processed in the central data center, only the most important data is transmitted, thereby minimizing latency.
