Dr. Vikas Mehra (PhD) is currently working with VIT-AP School of Business (VSB) at VIT-AP University in Andhra Pradesh (AP) India, as Associate Professor Sr. He is the Programme Chair for the BBA and BBA-Business Analytics programmes at VSB. His areas of expertise are Business Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management and Operations Management. He conducted an FDP on Business Analytics at VIT-AP University in 2020.

He has more than eighteen years of industry experience in the corporate sector, entrepreneurship and start-ups, before joining as a full-time faculty at VIT-AP University. He has worked with Tata Motors, IGATE Global Solutions, Target Corporation, Genpact and Saurashtra Cement, among others. He has been an evaluator and jury member for the “India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC)” in 2017, 2018 & 2019, organized by DST & Texas Instruments (TI) Inc., powered by AICTE mission, anchored by NSRCEL@IIMB and supported by MyGov.

His areas of interest include technology management, adoption and use of new age technologies, like Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Edge Computing, and impact of these technologies on the business and society. He is a Mechanical Engineer and an MBA in Operations Management. He completed his fellowship from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) in the area of Quantitative Methods and Information Systems (QMIS). His Thesis was in the area of Knowledge Management. He is a long distance runner and has completed many Half-Marathons and 10K Open Runs.
