Dr. Madhusmita Mohanty is an Assistant Professor Senior Grade of Finance & Analytics at the VIT-AP School of Business (VSB). She has completed her doctorate from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha in the year 2016. Her areas of expertise include Financial Management, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Project Analysis and Control System, Financial Analytics, Financial Modelling. She is having 12 years of experience in Teaching and Research. Expertise in STATA, E-Views, Data Analytics using Advanced Excel, R Statistics and Python. She has research publications in ABDC categories and Case study in UGC approved Journal.

Dr. Madhusmita Mohanty has presented her research work in various International and National educational platforms such as Deakin University of Australia, IIT Kharagpur, NISER, IGIDR and many more. Also attended Refresher courses, FDPs and workshops from premier institutes of National and International. Also, continuously reviewer for the SEBI-NISM Research Conference and Annual Capital Markets Conferences. She has attended FDP on Research Pedagogy from IIMA in 2020.

She was the Resource person for Two Analytics courses (STATA & R) to NISER (National Institute of Science Education and Research) and BGU (Birla Global University, Odisha). Also Conducted 2days workshop “Capsule on Business Analytics (AI &ML Application)” along with conducted one Consulting Project as a Principal Coordinator on “Incognito Survey of Indian Overseas Bank”.

She was also awarded Doctoral Fellowship from Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India from December 2011. Received Gold Medal for AIMS J L Batra Best Research Paper Award titled “An Empirical Analysis of Volatility Spill-over Effect on Indian Financial Market Efficiency: U.S Fed Policy or International Capital Flows” during 32nd AIMS annual Management Education Convention from 26th August to 28th August 2021.
