Balancing purpose and technology-A conclave of principals

One day conclave on “Balancing Purpose and Technology” for the Principals of Intermediate Schools and Junior colleges in Hyderabad, was organised by VIT-AP in Hyderabad on the 27th October, 2018. Around a hundred Principals from various International Schools, Kendriya Vidya Schools, other Aided and Government Schools of Telangana actively participated in the Programme.

Dr. Ashok, Commisioner of Intermediate Board Telangana State inaugurated the event. Dr. Indira Parkih, former Dean of IIM Ahmadabad and Founder President of FLAME University, gave a talk on “The Road Taken or Not: Enabling Future Generations to Make Choices”. Mr. Vishwas Anand, brought together latest thoughts on “Amplifying the Human Potential in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. Dr. Rajiv Noronha spoke about the perspectives of the industry on his topic “Perspectives on Competencies Required for the Age of Industry 4.0”, Dr. Ganesh M.P enlightened the audience with his topic “School Leadership in Changing Times” and Mr. Naveen Kumar shared his insights on “Today’s Youth and the Quest for Meaning & Purpose”. The conclave turned out to be a wonderful platform for discussion on various issues that needed to be addressed at Intermediate college level to enable students to have a balanced sense of purpose and ambition of learning and adopting new technologies in the fast changing digital world.
