VIT-AP has a transparent application process. The details of the application process for various programs are given below

B.Tech.

 
Procedure
  • For admission to the B.Tech. programmes, VITEEE is Mandatory
  • Applications are issued online and offline every year.
  • After qualifying the VITEEE entrance, students can select the desired campus by attending the merit based counselling
  • The common counselling for B.Tech admissions will be conducted at the following places
    – VIT-AP, AP
    – Vellore, TN
    – Chennai, TN
    – Bhopal, MP
  • Students can attend counselling at any of the above places to get admission in to any of the VIT campuses
 
Eligibility Norms

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination

  • Candidates appearing for VITEEE in 2018 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
  • The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST.
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
    Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes.
  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes.
 
Age Limit
  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1996 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2018
  • The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic
  • Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counseling, failing for which they will be disqualified

M.Tech.

 
Procedure
  • Applicants will be called for counselling in the order of merit based on the aggregate of marks (rounded to 2 decimal points) secured in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination.
  • In case the aggregate is same, the order of merit will be decided based on the best scores in Maths, Physics, Chemistry sequentially and in case of tie, the age i.e. older applicants are given priority.

  • +2 / 12th Standard / Intermediate / PU or 12th Standard equivalent.
  • No entrance exam needed.

BBA

 
Procedure/Admission Process
  • 1. Apply online and pay application fees of Rs. 950
                                               (Or)                    
    Download application form and follow the instructions
  • 2. Short listed candidates will undergo Management Task + Personal Interview (MTPI). Choose one of the centre for MTPI. Location of Centers:
    • Amaravati (VIT-AP campus)
    • Bengaluru
    • Chennai
    • Delhi
    • Hyderabad
    • Kolkata  
    • Mumbai  
  • 3. If selected, tuition fees and hostel fees can be paid within two weeks

  • Candidates studying 12th Std. in any group are eligible

Ph.D.

 
Procedure
  • Applications will be invited by open advertisement in all leading news papers / local announcement for all categories of candidates.
  • Doctoral and M.Phil. candidates should take VITREE (VIT Research Entrance Examination) choosing a field of their specialization. Candidates for Integrated Ph.D. and M.Tech. by Research programmes should take VITMEE (VIT Masters’ Entrance Examination) in the field of specialization.
  • Selected candidates will be called for a personal interview to be conducted at the campus where the admission is sought.
  • Final Selection will be based on the overall merit index of the candidate which will be arrived at by taking into account the candidate’s performance in the previous university examinations at Master’s level and the performance in the written test, research output and / the performance in personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination

  • Ph.D. in Engineering: Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Business Administration with a first class or a minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5 on a 10 – point scale) or equivalent like M.Sc (Engineering) / M.S. by Research.
  • Ph.D. in Sciences / Humanities / Languages: Master’s degree with a minimum 60% in Sciences / Humanities / Social Sciences Master’s degree with a minimum 55% in Languages.
